Founded in 1993 by Christine and Erik Maes, Père Olive is a food-processing company specialising in the packaging of table olives and unpasteurised (no preservatives) and unsterilised Mediterranean products.
Père Olive’s innovation is to offer a large range of “fresh” olives in controlled atmosphere packaging without oil or brine, thereby bringing olives to the fruit and vegetable department in hypermarkets.
Today, the company located in Andenne (Seilles) in southern Belgium, offers 10 varieties of olives from Greece, Spain, Morocco and France in 114 different recipes. The company is also developing products based on processed olives and dried tomatoes, such as tapenade or tomanade.
Père Olive is present in many countries and the European leader on the fresh olive market. The company exports its products under three brands (Père Olive, Apérolive, Signor Cempo) but also under the proprietary brand of distributors in Belgium and abroad.
Rigorously selected and controlled products, together with a skilled workforce, enable Père Olive to meet the quality requirements of consumers.
Père Olive has moreover earned certification and numerous seals of approval: BRC (British Retail Consortium), Bio Ecocert, CO500 (cheese) and VE7016 (fish).
